The bottle of fitness water

Engineered to hydrate your cells, not just quench your thirst.

WHY IT WORKS

A concentration of 1.5 to 3% glucose aligns with the rationale behind oral rehydration solutions.

BLOOD SODIUM: DILUTION EXPLAINED

Blood sodium mostly corresponds to the concentration of sodium in the plasma.

Therefore:

A drop of Sodium Na+

  • if you add a large amount of water without adding any sodium,
  • the concentration may indeed decrease.

This phenomenon of dilution is avoidable.

The combination of sodium and glucose enables faster and more efficient absorption in certain situations of water stress. Sodium-glucose transport via SGLT1 then significantly enhances water and electrolyte absorption, particularly in situations of dehydration.

  • Plasma volume may decrease
  • Hemoconcentration increases
  • Blood viscosity may increase

This is known as “Exercise-associated hyponatremia” (EAH).
